Currently, only employees earning up to ₹15,000/month basic salary are mandatorily covered under EPF. After this change:

  • Mandatory coverage extends to employees earning up to ₹21,000/month
  • More employees will be entitled to PF benefits

  • Deduct 12% of basic salary as employee PF contribution
  • Contribute 12% as employer contribution (3.67% EPF + 8.33% EPS)
